make512
Founded by five high schoolers with interests in science and engineering, make512 provides an outlet for people who have strong passion for simply making stuff. The idea for make512 started in a little skype chat called the "intelligent design." In the intelligent design, the main topic of discussion was the current progress in technology. As Nick Sweeting, Jack Worthington, Jonathan Tai, and Andrew Brandt discussed such technological progress, they were also engaged in making technological progress themselves. With the help of each other, they finished numerous projects and shared the success with the group.
They quickly realized that they were not the only ones in school interested in engineering and they decided to make the group available to entire student body. Once the group was opened to public, large number of students expressed an interest and joined the group. Within the first year, the group has managed to finish 20+ projects, and raised over 1300 dollars for charity.
